Bridal Don’t: UGG unveils bridal capsule collection

I will admit to loving my UGGs; they are comfortable and warm and worn with love. But never, will I ever, extend that love to my walk down the aisle.

UGG Australia released its new ‘I Do’ line for brides in a confusing attempt to break in to the bridal footwear market. The three-piece capsule collection includes such gems as the jewelled Bailey Button I Do ($225 US) that comes in silver and dons a genuine Swarovski crystal button and the Sparkle I Do ($190 US) that is covered from tip to toe in pink and white sequins.

But perhaps the most horrifying of the bunch is the Fluff Flip Flop I Do ($80 US). I’m not sure whether to laugh or beat it with a broom. This model comes in white and baby blue and is covered completely in shearling.

I don’t believe these are available in Canada quite yet but word to the wise; this is never ok, no matter how long your skirt is! Your wedding is the one day you want to look like a million bucks, not like you’re heading out to buy a Slurpee at 7-Eleven. And if your feet are sore when you want to set the dance floor on fire, that’s understandable, but a lovely pair of classic flats should do the trick.

What do you think of the new collection?

xoxo
