If you're tired of waiting for your man to pop the question, there has never been a better time to take matters into your own hands. Instead of exhausting the whole "piss or get off the pot" routine, why not grow a pair and ask him yourself?
This is one of the more exciting (and uber modern) bridal trends. MANgagement rings are said to have been gaining popularity among heterosexual couples in North America. An increase in equality-minded men are happy to showcase their pre-nuputial commitment just as women traditionally have. Diamonds are no longer only a girl's bestfriend.
A recent poll on an online dating site in the UK indicated that one in ten women have proposed to their boyfriends - a concept unheard of only a couple of decades ago! This trend is new to North America, as men in other countries have long embraced the ring. Irish women use the leap year tradition originating hundreds of years ago to propose to their gents and in South America both men and women wear engagement rings on their right hand until wed.
Although gaining popularity, I'm unsure how mainstream this idea will become. December is one of the most popular months to get in engaged in Canada. So what do you think ladies, would you consider popping the question?
